How the Protection Packages works?

Here you can find all important information about the packages.

Each package has its own layover time and they cover you in case your trip gets disrupted and you are unable to continue in a journey as planned. If anything happens, following scenario applies:

Conditions: If your first flight leg is delayed by more than

  • 20 minutes for the Quick package
  • 30 minutes for the Fast package
  • 60 minutes for the Easy package
  • 90 minutes for the Relax package

or if it gets canceled for any reason, resulting in you missing your self-connecting flight to your final destination, you are entitled to Compensation Options. You are also entitled to Compensation Options if your second flight leg gets canceled.

Important: If you have not purchased Queue Delays protection, you are entitled to compensation options only if the conditions above are met. If you have selected Queue Delays protection, you are also entitled to compensation options if you miss your flight due to delays specified in the package (such as security checks).

Compensation options: Once the conditions are met and you are unable to reach your destination due to the disruption, you have the following options to choose from:

Option A: Call or text us on WhatsApp if you missed your flight or any leg of your itinerary is canceled or delayed. We will book you a new itinerary for free to get you to your final destination. Please note that the cost of the new itinerary cannot exceed the Reimbursement Amount Limit you selected for your package. If it does, you will have to pay the difference (Reimbursement Limit Amount minus the price of the new itinerary). We will discuss all the steps with you so you will always know if anything extra needs to be paid. You can decline if you do not agree with the extra price. This service is only available during working hours, which can be found on our website or WhatsApp app.

Option B: If you miss your flight or any leg of your itinerary is canceled or delayed, you can arrange a new itinerary on your own to get to your final destination. Then, contact us or fill out the SelfLinker Claim Form on the SelfTransfer website. We will reimburse you for the cost of the new itinerary up to the Reimbursement Amount Limit you selected.

Packages only cover cost of: flights, hotels and hotel/airport transfers
